Healy Plaques is committed to conducting our business in an environmentally responsible manner. In fact, the very nature of sand-casting promotes the reuse and recycling of various materials used in the manufacturing process. Here are some ways in which our foundry strives to reach our goal of sustainability.

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE

The natural clays and sands that make up our molds are non-toxic and can be reformed into different shapes again and again, producing hundreds of signs without creating unnecessary waste. 

We understand the effects that mining has on the environment, so we make every effort to use recycled metals. Our signs are poured using high quality bronze ingot created from recycled scrap. In keeping with our mission of sustainability, we are also actively phasing out our current packaging and shifting to simpler containers.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Waste management is an important area of environmental concern in any manufacturing process. We are careful not to use any harmful solvents in the production of our plaques, and any waste water produced is treated and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
